Looking for a challenge?
How about running the exact route king Leonidas led 300 Spartan Warriors on to face the Persian army in 480 B.C?
If pushing your limits while taking in a bit of history sounds like a good time to you, then checkout the Sealfit 300 / 300 of Sparta Endurance Race.
The route is 378 km long and takes approximately 9 days to complete.
The Sparta Endurance Race appears to take place annually but in 2017, www.Sealfit.com will be hosting a special event to raise money for veterans organizations.
If you do the event through Sealfit then you can run the race AND be accompanied by coaches from Sealfit.com (many of whom are former Navy Seals).
To learn more checkout: Sealfit 300
The one catch is that as the event is being run as a charity fundraiser, each participant is expected to donate $30,000 to one of several veterans organizations.
If the $30,000 price tag would cause you to pause, you can still complete the race (without Sealfit) by heading over to 300 of Sparta (http://www.300ofsparta.com/).
Looks like an epic adventure!
